Steak & BlowJob Day
The Steak and BlowJob Day is a satirical party created in the United States as a male response to Valentine’s Day and celebrated just one month later, on March 14. It has been described as an Internet meme, with little or no relevance in reality. The women supposedly cook a steak and gives her man in response to cards chocolates and flowers that men give on Valentine’s Day. The celebration does not have an official sense, since it is rather a popular Internet meme. The men who seek to create such a day have caused some controversy and incited opposition, being described as anti-feminist. The men’s magazine Maxim described it as the best party of all time, while Cosmopolitan was not sure if it was an obsolete and sexist event or an obscene celebration of sex and food. What do you think?
One of the various websites competing to be the “official” page of the day declared that “March 14th onwards became the ‘Steaks and Blow Day.’ Simple, effective, without flowers, without special nights in the city, the name explains it all: just a steak and a BJ, the “official” websites that offer guides on how to cook a steak and how to give a Blow Job.
In 2016, the magazine Instinct noted that the day is also being used as a way to raise money successfully for breast cancer research. In France, the women’s magazine MadmoiZelle pointed out that it was a day aimed at men, while Le Bonbon said it was a “more American party”. In Spain, the newspaper El Mundo said in Spain that it would be called Fillet and Oral Sex Day and that the day was joined to food and sex, which he said were two of the greatest pleasures in the world.
